EVALUATING PSYCHOMOTOR SKILLS OF THE SÜLEYMAN DEMIREL UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF DENTISTRY STUDENTS BY 9-HOLE PEG TEST

Aim: To measure and evaluate the effects of curriculum applied in Faculty Dentistry on psychomotor skills students.Design:The study was carried 416 volunteer students. Participants were put to "9-hole peg test" (9-HPT). The results classified by considering students' grades (1-5), gender (male female), test hand (dominant/non-dominant) variables. Methods: Although there is an improvement 9-HPT completion time among dominant (DH) non-dominant hands (NDH) participants second third grades, it not statistically significant.Results: In this study, proficiency development, considered a basic competence dentistry profession, measured "9-HPT". are significant measuring, comparing, developing different educational methods.
